Newcastle Brown Ale (England)

Recipe developed by Colonel J. Porter, aka “The Original Dogwalker”, in 1927 in Newcastle, England. In Newcastle, England, “Walking the Dog” is Geordie slang for hitting the pub for a Newcastle Brown Ale. It’s a bit of code to use when you’re looking to meet friends and enjoy a couple pints of Newcastle Brown Ale. No actual dog required.

Brown Ale

Golden brown in color and with a rich, full-bodied flavor, Newcastle is a dark beer like no other. It is best served at 38˚F to retain its smoothness and slight caramel sweetness.

Winter IPA

Brewed with flavorful hops and seductive malt, our Newcastle Winter IPA hearkens back to the original India Pale Ale recipes of the 1700s. A balanced body, warm mouth-feel, and long, bittersweet finish make it the perfect beer for the season. It's zesty yet subtle, strong yet creamy. If only winter could last just a wee bit longer.

Founder’s Ale

Only one Limited Edition is special enough to bear the name Newcastle Founders Ale. The name, like the star on its label, is a tribute to the heritage of the five founding brewers of Victorian-era Newcastle. Its nutty brown color, light-bodied flavor and malty dry, bitter finish will make you as proud of our heritage as we are.
